In Season 5 of CoD Warzone, roof campers are likely to face some consequences. The trailer for the new season shows an important change that rooftop campers probably won’t like.
What does Season 5 do about campers? Even before the start of Season 5, the Call of Duty team released a trailer to prepare players for the new chapter of the game. In it, you catch glimpses of new content. This includes tools to quickly and easily access the rooftops of tall buildings.
Players noticed in the trailer that there are winches that allow people to climb tall buildings. They secure a rope and a motor on the sides of the buildings and pull themselves up quickly to the rooftops. A new mechanic that many players will likely appreciate.
What are these zip lines?
Here they are: If you look closely at the new Season 5 trailer for Warzone, you’ll see the yellow-brown ropes that players use to pull themselves up. However, these clips are only visible for a few seconds.

Where are the ziplines? It is still unclear how many ziplines will be in Warzone and on which buildings they will be attached. Presumably, it will not only be the newly opened stadium where you can find them, but also other tall buildings.

Why are winches being introduced into the game?
This is probably the reason: Roof campers are likely responsible for the introduction of this new mechanic. In the community, roof campers have long faced criticism. Players establish themselves in groups on rooftops – while the often sole access point to the roof is guarded, the others have a clear shot from the top with a sniper to take out other players.
In the community, there have already been creative ways to tackle campers:

With the new ziplines, there will be several ways to reach the rooftops where the campers are entrenched.
However, one should also consider that when using the winch, you are vulnerable. Other players can clearly see you rushing up and can easily anticipate how your character is moving – as you can only go up or down.
