Good players in Call of Duty: Warzone use all their senses to succeed in battle royale. Really good players use their opponents’ senses to ambush them. Professional Warzoner “Aydan” has demonstrated how this works. He used his parachute and gave his enemy no chance.
What’s going on? Footsteps, gunfire, shouting operators – in Call of Duty: Warzone, you can’t just rely on your eyes. Your ears are also a powerful tool for enemy detection.
Among the loudest signals you can hear from an enemy are actions involving the parachute. Whether it’s opening the chute, gliding, or cutting it off – everything is clearly audible, and you can usually easily determine the direction.
With a little trick, you can now use this fact to your advantage. Warzone pro “Aydan”, who has set many records in battle royale, uses the parachute animation as a feint to confuse his opponents. MeinMMO shows you why you should try this too.
Feigning parachute in Warzone to confuse opponents
What does it look like? Aydan shared a clip of the fake parachute on Twitter:
He is standing on one of the large residential buildings that once provided many families a home in Verdansk. With his M16, which has been performing well since the AUG nerf, he fires at enemies from the rooftop. A minimal sound alerts him to an opponent trying to sneak through the building to the roof.
Instead of aiming directly for the ladder, he uses a simple but brilliant trick: Aydan feigns a parachute jump, making the opponent think he jumped off the roof. And that’s exactly how the enemy reacts. Instead of looking around on the roof, the opponent comes off the ladder to check who just jumped off the roof.
Aydan, however, is still on the building and can easily shoot the unsuspecting opponent out of the match. This is then acknowledged with a respectful “nice f**king cheat, kid” from the defeated opponent.
How does this work? The trick is as brilliant as it is simple. Position yourself on an edge far enough from the ground that you would open the parachute when jumping. Make sure to position yourself as sideways as possible and do not look towards the abyss. Repeatedly press your button for “Jump/Parachute Open” and you’ve feigned a parachute jump.
But try it out before using it in the field. You need to position yourself a good distance over the edge and get a feel for how far you need to “lean” over the edge for a spontaneous use. Also, take a small step forward when you close the parachute and “land”.
We tested the trick, and the fake parachute works on many edges – the only important thing is that they are far enough from the ground so that the game opens your parachute.
Small moves with big impact
It’s precisely these small tricks that set you apart from the crowd of players and help you achieve success. Sure – the parachute trick probably won’t always help you win the last fight. But you can often use this audio trick to confuse opponents below you who are already expecting you to come down from the roof.
Take every trick, work with the available mechanics, and stay open to new weapons and play styles. This way, you will get better and better with each match and chase your own kill records. A battle royale like Warzone isn’t mastered in just one afternoon. But if you’ve understood like Aydan that you can often manipulate your opponents with your actions, you’ll drastically increase your combat strength. The best weapons in Warzone are also helpful.
