A squad achieved a spectacular team wipe in Call of Duty: Warzone with a homemade killer drone – all accompanied by the Titanic soundtrack. Thousands are enthusiastically celebrating the clip – even a developer.
That’s rare: In Call of Duty: Warzone, there are always videos showcasing extravagant strategies or spectacular kills. From illusionary arts to action sequences à la John Wick to playing with a steering wheel, there’s plenty of bizarre stuff going on.
In the community on reddit, they are very popular, and fans enjoy the cool performances. However, it is rare for developers to respond to such clips.
The team of reddit user arhayden has now pulled off a spectacular squad wipe and captured it in such a watchable (and hearable) way that even a high-ranking developer took notice and offered praise.
What exactly happened? In a 4-player Warzone match, the squad around arhayden spotted an enemy team nearby.
They quickly decided to send the enemies a nice surprise. One squad member unpacked a small reconnaissance drone, while another attached a C4 explosive to it. Then the killer drone set off.
Just before the drone reached the enemy team, they jumped into an SUV and drove off. The drone followed them, and when the vehicle had to brake, it finally caught up with the killer drone. The kill scene played out aptly to Céline Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” from the movie Titanic.

What do the dev and other players say? The video is celebrated by thousands of fans, and after 19 hours, the clip has already received more than 7,000 upvotes. Not only is the impressive squad wipe celebrated, but also the musical accompaniment.

And b-lincoln says: “Hilarious when Celine kicks in. 10 out of 10, I’ll watch it again. I wish there was a way to do it solo”
On reddit, Joel Emslie, the “Studio Art Director” of Infinity Ward, also spoke up. Known on reddit as ArtPeasant, he celebrated the cool video with the words “beautiful squad wipe.” So there was recognition from the highest levels.
