In Call of Duty: Warzone, the developers are still on the hunt for cheaters. They recently shared the results of a larger ban wave on Twitter, but the community is not entirely satisfied.
What’s going on in Warzone? From the beginning, cheaters have been rampant in the PC version of CoD Warzone. Using aimbots, they achieve inhuman headshots, while wallhacks allow them to see opponents through walls. These are advantages that make it difficult for “honest” players to win rounds and enjoy this battle royale.
The developers are constantly fighting to upgrade their game against cheaters. They use tools like Ricochet, which help identify and remove cheaters from the game.
Over 90,000 bans in one week
This is what the team says: On Twitter, the Call of Duty team published a tweet on March 19 stating: “#TeamRicochet Update: 90,000 accounts have been removed through wave bans this week. Have a nice Friday.”
On one hand, the ban of 90,000 accounts is a relatively large number. However, in relation to player counts, the community expresses dissatisfaction with it. @its_menieb writes, “One taken down, millions still to go.”
This is what players say: Many users state that these 90,000 people will simply create a new account and continue cheating in the PC version. After all, Warzone is free to play – those banned do not lose money but simply create the next account.
Even streamers have pulled out of the battle royale because the cheating issue became too great.
However, it is now harder to create a new account using the same PC that was banned, @tyronebiggum5 explains in the comments under the tweet. Currently, there is no software that can simulate a different PC.
For user @M_PaulCezanne on Twitter , the numbers are still too low. He writes, “90,000 per week? Looks like you need to ramp it up a bit more.”
As with any other ban wave, there are players who claim they were banned unjustly. They write that they played normally and didn’t use cheats or other prohibited tools but were still banned.
How is it going for you in Warzone? Do you feel that the developers need to crack down harder or are they already getting the issue under control? Share your experiences from your recent matches here on MeinMMO in the comments.
A tactical item in CoD Warzone is so damn strong that you should always use it.
