The FiNN LMG is a very stable weapon in Call of Duty: Warzone, which hardly anyone has on their radar. As part of the MeinMMO format “Item Spotlight”, we want to introduce you to the weapon a little closer and show you why the LMG is definitely worth a try.
What kind of weapon is this? The FiNN LMG is one of the wildest weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone. The machine gun has some crazy attachments that practically offer an option for every playstyle:
- Normal: Standard LMG with high precision for long distances
- Contrary: High-fire-rate LMG with high damage at medium ranges
- Chainsaw: Pure hipfire monster for close combat
However, this crazy device has relatively few fans. On “WZ Ranked”, the FiNN LMG barely makes it into the top 50 of the most popular primary weapons (via wzranked.com). Here, the FiNN ranks 47th – between the explosive sniper Rytec and the LMG competitor RPD (as of April 8, 2021).
But the weapon deserves much more attention. It actually has everything it needs to play as a stable all-round rifle: It has a pleasant recoil, good damage at medium and long range, and offers a few crazy attachments for setup experiments.
MeinMMO will take a closer look at the weapon, go into its strengths and weaknesses, and show you a setup that makes the FiNN LMG highly competitive in Warzone.
The FiNN LMG in Warzone: The most stable weapon that no one plays
What makes the FiNN LMG so strong? As with the popular assault rifles Grau 5.56, M13, or Kilo 171, it is the exaggerated stability of the weapon. You only need to work a little against the very vertical recoil, and you’ll hit your shots on distant targets without any problems. The very high bullet velocity helps as well, which you can elevate to the level of sniper rifles.
You can confidently take aim at parachutists who are just landing back from the Gulag and shoot them directly off the map. In a prone position, you have almost perfect stability. We are embedding a small clip that shows how stable the weapon can be held even without stabilizing:
But the LMG can do even more. By default, the FiNN comes with 75 rounds in the magazine. That’s 15 more rounds than the biggest magazine of the Grau. This way, you can skip this attachment and use it elsewhere. Also very interesting is the high chest damage. While the Grau deals 28 damage to the stomach and chest, the FiNN increases to 36 damage on chest hits (28 stomach).
That’s why the FiNN wins the damage comparison for important chest hits by a long shot against the stable meta alternatives:

What’s the catch? However, the strong damage combined with the high stability comes at the cost of a few disadvantages:
- You only deal chest damage with a headshot – 36
- It has an LMG-typical “Open-Bolt-Delay” of 67 milliseconds
- The ADS speed (time to aim) could be snappier
The FiNN is a chest-hit specialist. The LMG gives you high damage for the chest but lacks an extra multiplier for headshot hits. Additionally, it has the typical properties of LMGs, which makes the FiNN less mobile than assault rifle alternatives and gives it an Open-Bolt-Delay. Due to its disadvantages, it is very weak in close combat and almost unusable. However, at medium to long distances, the weapon shows its potential.
Moreover, the weapon is behind a challenge. You must defeat an opponent with an LMG in close combat in 7 matches to unlock the FiNN LMG.
Warzone: FiNN setup with high hit rate
- Muzzle: Suppressor (Monolith)
- Barrel: XRK Long-Shot Advantage
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Scope: VLK 3.0x Scope
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
For the FiNN LMG, a typical setup for automatic “CoD MW” weapons with range in Warzone is suitable.
But due to its high stability and large standard magazine, the weapon gives you a lot of room in your build, as you can save the underbarrel and an extra magazine. You can even skip the sight if you are satisfied with the Iron Sight (front & rear). Therefore, only the Monolith Suppressor and the large Long-Shot Barrel are essential.
If you want more stability and do not care much about the aiming speed? Then go for the Ranger Foregrip and put the 100-round magazine on.
Prefer to focus on ADS? Then the tactical laser and the “No Stock” option is your choice.
We would also like to recommend the contradictory barrels of the FiNN. They usually give you a very high fire rate and are really strong at medium range. However, unfortunately, the barrel attachments are currently broken since Mid-Season of Season 2 – just like the scope reflection of some sniper rifles. The high fire rate is not available currently.
Who is the FiNN LMG interesting for? If you like stable automatic weapons in Warzone, you should definitely pack the FiNN in your loadout. It brings enormous security to your game, and kills at medium range are very easy. Among the weapons from CoD MW with the highest stability, it ranks 2nd. Only beaten by the Kilo 141, which brings more horizontal recoil – and that is a bit harder to control.
If your primary long-range weapon should also be able to hold its own in close combat, then it’s better to leave the LMG in the closet. You will definitely need a strong submachine gun or a shotgun as a secondary weapon to be effective in close combat. The otherwise versatile FiNN LMG cannot do that.
