The Twitch streamer and YouTuber Aydan “Aydan” Conrad broke the kill record of a single player in Call of Duty: Warzone – 60 kills in a match. Check out the clip here and find out how he did it.
The battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone has already set some fantastic kill records since its release in March 2020. The highest proven number of kills that a single player amassed in a match was 58.
The streamer and CoD YouTuber Aydan was able to top that. In a “Solo against Quads” game, where he faced entire 4-player teams as a solo player, he ended up with a whopping 60 on his kill count. An outstanding achievement, and his gameplay is impressive as well. We embed the edited YouTube video here for you:
The complete match without cuts can be watched as an upload on his Twitch channel.
60 Kills in a Match with Boss – All About His Playstyle
How did he approach it? An important prerequisite for such high kill numbers as a solo player are matches with larger teams. Instead of going into a camping solo playlist, he starts a BR-4 match without filling. This way, there are fewer teams on the map, but all of them can potentially deliver more kills.
Aydan remains fully focused from start to finish and shows at every encounter with opponents how important good and clever movement is. His behavior in the Super Store at the start of the match underscores this directly. He fires at enemies, scores many headshots, and even against his rather weak Uzi, his foes can hardly respond.
He plays exceptionally well and has an excellent decision-making ability. In almost all situations, he makes the right choice whether to take cover, fire at enemies, or attempt a flank to surprise opponents from an unexpected direction. No one seems to be able to stop him – except in one situation, when he is sent to the Gulag north of the airport tower in the warehouse.
After the intense battle in the Super Store, where he already scored 8 kills, he gets caught up in record fever and fetches his two meta weapons Kilo 141 and the R9-0 with Dragon’s Breath. From here on, he is on the hunt and perfectly demonstrates how to utilize every advantage that the equipment and the map of Warzone provide:
- He uses many vehicles to reach the next team and get kills
- Acquires drones to track teams without the Ghost perk
- Watches for enemy vehicles on the map that could indicate enemies
- Always uses cover to move to the next point
- He “reads” his enemies to push them into unexpected situations
Particularly impressive is his fight against a four-player team north of the Super Store (YouTube video at 8:50). From the roof of the house, he takes a few shots at an enemy who then calls in a precision airstrike on him. He positions himself exactly at the corner by the stairs, where he can obviously be seen. However, the enemy team was so focused on the “push” that he can hit 3 of the opponents hard from this corner and also take out the fourth.
The entire match then even ends with a boss fight (YouTube video at 14:00). In the end, he is alone with a Juggernaut on the map, who can take much more damage than he can. He is unsure if he can handle it, but he stays focused, proceeds wisely, and takes out this opponent from the match.
Loadout of Aydan’s 60 Kill Massacre
Which weapons did he use? He fully relied on popular guns of the battle royale, which are considered particularly strong – Kilo 141 and R9-0:
Aydan’s Kilo 141 setup
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.8″ Hitter
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Scope
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 50-Round Magazine
Aydan’s R9-0 setup
- Muzzle: Choke
- Barrel: FORGE TAC Barrage
- Laser: 5mW Laser
- Ammunition: Dragon’s Breath Rounds
- Grip: Rubberized Grip Tape
The Kilo 141 helps him from a distance of 10 meters. The weapon is extremely stable with the barrel and the VLK scope, allowing him to repeatedly land painful headshots on his opponents.
Anything that gets too close he takes out with his shotgun. The R9-0 offers a strong double shot that leads to heavy hits thanks to the fiery Dragon’s Breath ammunition. Here you can find more information about both weapons:
Which perks did he use? Here he relies on a combination that does not protect him from detection by drones, heartbeat sensors, or thermal optics, but provides advantages in duels with enemies:
- Blue: E.O.D. – Reduces explosive damage
- Red: Overkill – Get 2 primary weapons in your loadout
- Yellow: Amped – Faster weapon swaps
What equipment did he use? He rounded out his setup with common equipment from Warzone:
- Primary: Semtex
- Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor
What can players take away from this? Especially the way he moves is exemplary. In every situation where he cannot directly take down his enemies, he considers how he can surprise them. Each time he uses a way his opponents do not expect and gains an advantage over the often helpless foes.
You can try this yourself. If you know your opponent knows your position pretty well, use that to your advantage. Think briefly about how you would proceed and set traps for the enemy.
A good example of this is shown quite near the end of the video, just before the “boss fight” (YouTube video at 12:46). He drives his car visibly into the hangar for the enemy, but he gets out to then pressure the opponent from the other side. The enemy expects Aydan to stay in the car. Another easy kill.
However, it must be said that Aydan plays a lot of Warzone and is correspondingly skilled. But you should always keep an eye out for how you can improve yourself, and such strong gameplay videos are a good way to do that.
