The Haunting of Verdansk is the Halloween event in Call of Duty: Warzone. The new Zombie Royale LTM is currently being played. We will show you some tips to perform better in the Zombie mode.
What’s new? In Call of Duty: Warzone, the spooky celebrations for “The Haunting of Verdansk” have started. They bring a lot of new content to the game. You can now play on a night version of the map and collect special Halloween-themed items.
Along with that, the new Zombie Royale LTM was introduced. Here you initially play “normally”, but quickly notice that there is no Gulag. Players who are eliminated rise again as zombies and have special abilities. We will show you some tips and tricks that you should know for this mode.
Utilize your new abilities
If you die and are “reborn” as a zombie, you will also gain new abilities. And these are quite powerful. Survivors do not have these abilities.
- You can throw gas grenades to incapacitate enemies
- You have a chargeable jump to cover large distances
- The EMP blast destroys the electronics of enemies
You can use the super jump to surprise enemies with an attack. With this jump, you quickly soar through the air and cover many meters in a matter of seconds.
However, you can also use the jump to escape if the enemy is too strong. Use it to jump onto rooftops or to overcome terrain.
Quickly find the important syringes
This is how you get back into the game: Normally, in Warzone, you have the chance to prove yourself in the Gulag after being knocked out and then return to the match.
In Zombie Royale, you will become a zombie after being knocked out. Now you need to collect two syringes. Eliminated opponents drop them.
Once you have collected two, you return to the game with your loadout.
As a tip, you should note that you can also see the locations of the syringes on your minimap. If enemies have already dropped them but they haven’t been collected yet, you can secure them without a kill.
Don’t stop fighting
Here’s why it’s worth it: In normal Battle Royale, after the Gulag fight, you only get one more chance to prove yourself on the battlefield. In Zombie mode, however, this can happen repeatedly. You can keep becoming a zombie, collecting syringes, turning back into a human, and dying again.
The last squad with a living operator wins the match. Even if the rest of the team is running around as zombies. That’s why it’s worth it to continuously hunt humans as a zombie to secure the victory for your squad.
Why lightweight weapons are good for survivors
Pay attention to the loadout: As you may have noticed, zombies can move quickly across the map. A method to better escape them is to use lightweight weapons. Equip yourself with a submachine gun + knife instead of relying on assault rifles or rocket launchers. With throwing knives, you can also get cool kills in Warzone.
Additionally, perks like Double Time suddenly become relevant so that you can sprint for twice as long and the tactical sprint has less cooldown.
On the Warzone map, you can also find 16 Trick-or-Treat boxes. If you collect all 16, there’s a legendary weapon blueprint as a reward.
