The developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are working on several bug fixes for the Battle Royale mode Warzone. Among them are four pesky bugs that should soon be fixed.
What kind of bugs are these? In the Trello of the developers of Modern Warfare, there are several entries about the new BR mode Warzone. Four of them are likely to be fixed soon:
- Players sometimes see a “Black Screen” when simply walking around the map
- Players who die last in their trio team sometimes get the message when leaving that their team can revive them, which is not true
- When a player leaves the round, he sometimes does not drop any loot
- When you revive another player, you might get stuck in the “revive” animation if it gets canceled
When will the fixes come? The four mentioned points have already been marked with “Fixed in a future update”. This usually means that the next immediate update will already contain the fixes.
The next scheduled update should be released on Tuesday, March 17 at around 7:00 PM German time.
Additional fixes for Modern Warfare
What will be fixed in multiplayer: There are also several bug fixes for the various multiplayer modes in the new CoD that will likely be rolled out in the upcoming patch:
- Micro stuttering on Xbox after it comes out of sleep mode or off if the “Instant-On” feature was active
- Some players report that they can complete daily challenges multiple times (still in progress)
- Some weapons carry the developer’s name instead of their correct name (still in progress)
- Tactical entry sometimes does not work on the map “Rust” near the oil derrick, yet allows players to spawn randomly
What’s still coming for Warzone: There are also several other bugs that the developers are already aware of for Warzone. Among them is an annoying bug that makes it unclear who actually gets a kill. This is especially important for setting new records.
Additionally, there are some bugs that can completely disrupt the gameplay. While you are under a buy station, to buy loadouts and killstreaks, you can sometimes get stuck if you are lying down. Another problem in the “Plunder” mode prevents you from putting money in the rescue balloon.
Moreover, there are again problems with the graphics, such as too bright light that blinds the entire screen – even brighter than with reflective weapons. However, we do not yet know when these issues will be resolved. You can find more details in the official Trello board of the developers.
How has the Battle Royale evolved? That the developers are now working so hard on the mode was not evident at the beginning of Modern Warfare. But apparently, it is worth it:
- Before release, Battle Royale was not a topic for Modern Warfare at all
- Then it was said in a leak that it would indeed come – with Free2Play
- The decision was probably right: On Twitch, Warzone really took off
