What is it about? With the first season of Black Ops Cold War, over 30 new weapons came to the Warzone. Among them was even a new weapon class: the tactical rifles. The DMR 14 and the Type 63 turned out to be particularly strong in battle royale and received a nerf that brought the OP weapons in line.
Before the era of the “DMR-Zone”, the assault rifle Kilo 141 was very popular. But this weapon also had to process a range nerf and therefore even fell out of our list of the best weapons in the Warzone.

FAL – If you enjoyed single shots
Why the FAL? The Belgian semi-automatic rifle is stable, offers high damage values, and matches the gameplay of the DMR 14. If you generally liked the DMR meta, you are fully competitive with the FAL and can continue to rely on single shots.
Due to its unique damage distribution, the rifle has a consistent time-to-kill (TTK) of 511 ms at hits to the chest across all distances. This makes it particularly strong at longer ranges, but you’ll feel the value at close range. Together with a strong SMG for Warzone, you’re prepared for anything.
Damage details: You can theoretically eliminate enemies at all distances in 511 ms. However, this value also depends on your trigger finger and how quickly you can fire shots in succession at the enemy.

CR-56 AMAX – If you want to return to fully automatic
Why the AMAX? The AMAX is an automatic assault rifle that is at the top of the food chain. Every hit causes high damage to your enemies and shows your prey that the next fight could be close.
However, the large caliber of the AMAX also means that you need to be good shooters and practice with the gun to get good with it. The recoil is noticeably higher than with a Grau 5.56, but certainly not unmanageable. Once you have tamed the AMAX, you are always at the forefront in terms of damage among all-round rifles. Damage details: Takes down enemies at close range in 476 ms, which is at SMG level. At medium and long range, the value increases to a still strong 571 ms.

Cold War AUG – If you want to try something new
Why the AUG? With the AUG from Cold War, you can stay in the tactical rifle class and switch to a 3-shot burst that can take down enemies in no time. If all bullets hit and you can score a headshot, then 2 bursts are enough against enemies with full armor to initiate the KO phase. The distances to the enemy do not matter.
The weapon is very stable and allows you to land hits easily and safely. However, the greater your distance to the enemy, the harder it becomes to make secure hits, as the individual shots of the burst drift further apart. The AUG is therefore very good for fights at close to medium range but should be supported by a Kar 98k or another strong sniper rifle.
Damage details: Eliminates your enemies with a TTK of 439 ms if you get the kill with 2 bursts. The 3-shot burst, however, takes between 700 – 800 ms to clear opponents.
