In Call of Duty: Warzone 2, you can gain certain advantages in combat thanks to perk packages, which enhance your chances of survival. Therefore, we show you 3 of the best perk packages and for which play style they are suitable.
What are perk packages? Since the release of Warzone 2, quite a bit has changed. Players still cannot customize their perks like in Warzone 1. Instead, there are perk packages that players can equip with pre-made combos.
This restricts your freedom, but there are still good perk packages that you should prefer, before heading to one of the best landing zones on Al Mazrah.
Which are the best perk packages? In total, the developers offer you eight pre-made perk combos that you can equip. Each of them has its area of use, but there are three options that are particularly worthwhile, and those are:
- Vorhut – Package for Rushers
- Spectre – Package for Pursuers and Ninjas
- Wächter – Package for Campers
Currently, there is only one perk package with the extra “Overkill” and the perks in the package are not among the strongest. If it’s worth it to you, you’ll still get 2 primary weapons with your loadout in the game – but not with all methods.
We will now explain which packages are good and which play styles they suit.
Vorhut – The Package for the Sprinters among you
For which player are these perks suitable? The Vorhut package is especially suitable for the rushers among you who enjoy fast-paced gameplay. “Eiltempo” and “Bombenkommando” ensure that you can sprint longer in tactical mode while also taking more damage from explosive weapons from all sources except killstreaks.
“Nachschub” provides you with an additional primary equipment slot (grenades), and “Alarmiert” indicates in your field of view whether an enemy is nearby – they must, however, see you.
Essentially, you are very mobile with the perks and can partially ignore grenade fire. Additionally, you have an advantage towards the end of your matches, as it allows you to see more easily where your opponents are staring at you.
Spectre – The Package for the Ninjas among you
For which player are these perks suitable? This package is primarily suitable for the players among you who enjoy sneaking and tracking their opponents. “Eiltempo” increases the duration of your tactical sprint while “Spurenleser” marks footprints left by enemies near you. Additionally, the death locations of foes are marked.
On top of that, “Kundschafter” shows you through walls where enemy equipment, field equipment, and killstreaks are located. This way, you can recognize C4 charges or claymores and avoid them.
Finally, “Geist” ensures that you cannot be detected by drones, portable radars, and heartbeat sensors. You remain almost invisible in every respect – even if Geist might not be as strong as you think.
Wächter – The Package for the Campers among you
For which player are these perks suitable? The Wächter package is especially beneficial for the campers among you. “Kampfgestählt” provides the necessary resistance against flash, EMP, and gas grenades, while “Bombenkommando” reduces the explosive damage you sustain. This is especially useful against the anti-camper gadget.
To avoid detection, “Kaltblütig” ensures that players with AI targeting systems and thermal scopes cannot locate you. Soldiers equipped with the perk “Alarmiert” also do not receive an alert when you look at your opponents.
Finally, “Übertakten” gives you tactical advantages as you can recharge your field equipment and store an additional charge.
Will there be custom perk packages in the future? We cannot answer that yet. However, we assume that the developers might implement this feature at a later time. There was actually an announcement before the release that there would be no perks at launch.
Warzone 1 had been able to impress with extensive customization options for perks, and their release in Warzone 2 is very likely.
