The new Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 comes with a total of 5 new weapons. How to obtain them and what the developers’ descriptions of the weapons already reveal, we will show you on MeinMMO.
Which new weapons are coming in Season 2? Call of Duty regularly brings new, free content to Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. For Season 2, there are 5 new weapons among other things. Click on the corresponding weapon for info or just scroll down:
- Assault Rifle: ISO Hemlock
- Shotgun: KV Broadsite
- Melee: Dual Kodachis
- DMR: Crossbow
- DMR: Tempus Torrent
In addition to the new weapons, you can expect a new lethal equipment. A throwing star (Shuriken) will come into play with the Mid-Season.

1. New Assault Rifle ISO Hemlock
How to unlock the weapon? You can find the ISO Hemlock in the free part of the new Battle Pass – Sector B11.
What can the weapon do? The new assault rifle is part of the ISO platform and is meant to provide you with broad operational capabilities. It comes with different ammunition types.
For example, there is 5.56 ammunition, with which the Hemlock is on par with the M4 or the Lachmann-556. Stable options with moderate damage.
You can also switch to ‘.300 BLK’ ammunition and prevent opponents from being shown the position of a killed enemy. This might give us a strong stealth weapon that is somewhat harder to control than with the 5.56 ammunition.
2. New Shotgun KV Broadsite
How to unlock the weapon? You can find the KV Broadsite in the free part of the new Battle Pass – Sector B4.
What can the weapon do? The new shotgun is a melee specialist, as you would expect. The Broadsite comes with the highest semi-automatic fire rate in its class and obliterates enemies in the blink of an eye – with or without heavy armor.
However, its range limits it. Once enemies stand a step too far away, it may no longer be sufficient. Rather a weapon for enthusiasts.
3. New Knives Dual Kodachis
How to unlock the weapon? You can find the Dual Kodachis in the free part of the new Battle Pass – Sector B13.
What can the weapon do? With the new knife set, you get a higher range and move forward faster when striking. However, your strafing with the weapons in hand is slower, as is your sprint speed.
New Crossbow (DMR)
How to unlock the weapon? Complete all 7 challenges of the event “Path of Ronin” or buy a crossbow bundle in the shop.
What can the weapon do? The crossbow has always been added later to the CoD games in recent years and impresses fans with strong single-shot hits. In multiplayer, a bolt hit takes down your opponents, but for Warzone 2 we have to wait for the effects.
In Warzone 1, there was a crossbow with explosive bolts that also ensured one-shot kills. CoD has announced different types of ammunition but has not yet revealed which ones will be available. Bolts can be picked up again after firing.
New DMR Tempus Torrent
How to unlock the weapon? It is still not known how to unlock the Tempus Torrent. The DMR will be introduced with the Mid-Season.
What can the weapon do? There is also nothing to say about this yet. We expect a fast-firing DMR similar to the EBR-14 or TAQ-M.
Season 2 brings massive changes to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and reverts many mechanics back to the state of its predecessor – Gulag, loadouts, looting, armor plates: Many things will be like they were before. Later, Warzone statistics are finally expected to come into play.
For MW2, among other things, ranked play will be introduced and a total of 4 new maps. Additionally, the 2nd PvE raid has been announced for later in the season.
