In Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players can not only complete faction missions in the DMZ mode but also secure weapon cases. In this guide, we show you the most important information about the weapon cases and explain how to farm them best.
What are weapon cases in the DMZ? In the DMZ weapon cases are special items that you can collect during your expedition.
In each round, a weapon case appears through a type of event that is guarded by enemy troops and a Juggernaut. If you manage to get this and take it to your extraction point, you will receive free items like an operator skin or even a weapon blueprint.
While acquiring the case may sound easy, it can be tough, as this event is visible to every player on the map. Anyone interested in this case will take notice. So, you not only have to fight a Juggernaut but also real players who can quickly take you down.
Once you’ve managed to recover the case, you will still be marked on the map, making extraction even more challenging. To ensure you don’t get discouraged, we show you the best method to safely farm the case.

Weapon Cases in the DMZ – Locations, Strategy, and Rewards
What rewards do weapon cases give? Weapon cases are particularly worthwhile because of the free items you are rewarded with. There are a total of 7 items that you can acquire in the following order:
- Blueprint – Barrier tape RPK
- Weapon sticker – “Biohazard”
- Skin for the helicopter – Jungle Incognito
- Weapon charm – “Gas Gas Gas”
- Visiting card – “Weapon Box”
- Emblem – “Weapon Box”
- Operator skin for King – “Chemist”
Where can I find weapon cases? The weapon case event takes place only at three selected locations:
- Hydroelectric
- Observatory
- Al Sharim Pass
Even though there are three possible event locations, not every one is suitable for farming.
How do I best farm weapon cases? First, start a DMZ round. If you stay in the game long enough, a yellow marked location will appear where a weapon case is present. Now you need to make sure that the observatory is marked.
In our research, the observatory has emerged as the best farming point. This location is not only very open and can be easily traversed by vehicles, but you can also quickly escape due to the elevation if things get tough. If a horde of enemies were to chase you, you can simply parachute down and fly away.
If the observatory houses a weapon case, you can quietly make your way there. Use an armored car and look for the Juggernaut. Once you’ve found it, you can simply run it over.
Afterwards, collect the dropped case and get into a car or use your parachute to reach the nearest exit.
If the observatory is not marked, you can also try the other spots – but they are really contested and densely populated.
