In Call of Duty: Warzone, there have been annoying and sometimes unfair bugs since its launch. The series is not letting up for now. 2 new issues have emerged that can ruin the round for anyone.
What kind of bugs are they? Bugs and glitches in Call of Duty: Warzone come and go frequently. However, there has always been something. Currently, there are 2 bugs in the game that belong to the really nasty kind:
- Bullet Bug: Sometimes the game does not register a hit, even though the bullet clearly lands
- Spotter Glitch: Marks all enemies in your line of sight, even without binoculars
Both are nasty bugs that can cost you the match if you are affected.
Broken collisions make bullets useless
What is this bullet bug? Currently, it can happen in the Warzone that your bullets simply fly through enemies without causing damage on their way. The user “@JC2GROOVY” shared a clip about it on Twitter:
This nasty bug seems to be a problem with the collision. A fix, however, seems to be on the way: The “Co-Design Director of Multiplayer” at the CoD developer “Infinity Ward”, Joe Cecot, responded under the tweet: “Looks like misaligned collision. Thanks for your report!”.
If the bug catches you, even the best weapons in Warzone won’t help.
Glitch turns weapon into binoculars
What is the Spotter Glitch? This is an exploit that marks enemies in your line of sight. We don’t want to reveal too much about executing the glitch, but it has something to do with the new item “Spotter Scope” and a grenade. The glitchers then benefit from the capabilities of the new binoculars without having to use them.
Enemies in the field of view are automatically marked, and when you hover the crosshair over enemies that might otherwise have gone unnoticed, the glitchers briefly see a small square, just like with the “Spotter Scope”, thus spotting the enemy.
Even the automatic marking is unfair, but the better reconnaissance makes it really nasty.
So far, however, there has been no statement from the developers regarding this issue. However, it is to be expected that such a bug will be fixed in the foreseeable future.
Similar to the starting weapon glitch, where players could almost choose their first weapon in the Warzone. In this case, there were only 7 days between the general discovery of the glitch and the fix.
A bug refers to an error in the game that prevents you from reaching a certain state. In the example here in the article, it’s the broken bullets that prevent damage.
A glitch, on the other hand, is an error in the game that allows a certain state that shouldn’t actually be possible. With the “Spotter Glitch”, you benefit from the advantages of the binoculars even though you do not use them.
The Warzone has been struggling with several bugs since its release that gave players unfair advantages. Sometimes an absurd snake glitch that had soldiers lying on the ground but with the perspective of a standing player, or players came out of the Gulag with a speed and health bug.
Many of the bugs often disappear quickly, like the starting weapon glitch in Warzone. Developer “Infinity Ward” regularly communicates which bugs will disappear next. But if your entire magazine goes through the enemy, the knowledge of a fix in the future helps little in that moment.
