Killstreaks reward strong players in Call of Duty: Vanguard with even more kills – but you don’t always have to put up with it. Because one of the most annoying killstreaks can be easily brought down from the sky.
Who doesn’t know it – a match in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Vanguard is just starting to get fun, and then the full-time sweaters have already unlocked the strongest killstreaks.
Bombs, dogs, flamethrowers – suddenly the map is full of deadly war machines, and every wrong step means going to the respawn. But at least one of the strong killstreaks can be easily destroyed – the airstrike.
Just a few shots destroy enemy bombers
How can you prevent the airstrike? If you hear the announcement from the match announcer that an enemy airstrike is inbound, then look up at the sky very carefully.
Turn in circles and scan the sky in all 4 directions. The bombers come exactly from the north, east, south, or west, at the height of the activating player – you can recognize the directions by your compass.
Now you need an assault rifle, and with a few shots, you can destroy the large planes:
Since the bombers do not drop their explosive cargo directly, but first fly a little over the map, you have some time to take out the planes.
In total, 3 bombers fly over the map per killstreak, and with a bit of practice, you can take out all 3 enemy planes. However, the direction of the planes changes with each new bomber.
If you take out the 3 bombers in time, you can prevent any bombs from being dropped on the map.
Here it pays off the most: With the airstrike, you cover the map with bombs in a straight line. The larger the map, the smaller the chance of hitting an opponent.
But especially on smaller maps like Shipment or Dome, the bomb carpet hits hard, and you should try to prevent the attack.
Enemy killstreaks can turn a good match into an uncomfortable massacre. But when you reach the highest streaks yourself and unleash vicious dogs on the entire opposing team, you remember why this mechanic fits so well with Call of Duty.
