Currently, there are frequent connection issues with Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. World of Warcraft and other Blizzard games also seem to be affected.
Update from April 12 at 9:09 PM: There are also server issues with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone on Easter Sunday.
There is still no statement from Call of Duty, but players report being kicked from servers during ongoing matches.
Especially annoying: When it’s working again, players apparently end up in a queue.
Update from April 3 at 2:00 PM– What is the current server status? The issue has reportedly been resolved according to Blizzard Support. The servers should be running stable again.
12:30 PM: Since around 12:30 PM, there have been issues again with Battle.net. However, this time specifically with Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare, as players report. The support account of Blizzard has tweeted that issues may arise:

Original report – What happened? Today, on the evening of April 2, 2020, there have been login issues with Blizzard since around 10:00 PM.
Currently, many players are stuck in queues for Blizzard games or cannot even access the Battle.net client. According to the official Twitter account of Blizzard Support, the developers are already working on the issue:

Apparently, it is a disruption with the authentication servers, which is causing all services to be affected. Even the websites seem to be affected.
The official Twitter account has since confirmed that at least these login issues have been resolved.
Blizzard is not the only company facing such problems. The PlayStation Network is currently struggling with network errors.
Hours-long queues
How long do players have to wait? The queues are extremely long for some players. Shortly after the report, we had queues of about 216 minutes at MeinMMO.
However, there are already users on Twitter reporting over 40 hours in the queue:

This is what players say: The first reactions to the server problems are relatively calm. Players are annoyed that they currently cannot log in, but many take it with humor.
They wish Blizzard good luck in solving the problem or jokingly compare their queue positions to determine the “highest bidder.” Some players also ask for events like the April Fools’ joke from Overwatch to be extended, as they currently cannot play.
Only occasionally are there complaints that the WoW raid might suffer or that Blizzard should have anticipated these issues, as many people have to stay at home due to the Corona crisis.
