It won’t be long until Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 celebrates its first season. However, to give you an idea of what to expect, we will list the most important information about Season 1 and show you what to expect at release.
With CoD: MW3, Activision is bringing another shooter that is set to accompany you through many seasons. The community has been waiting for news regarding upcoming maps, weapons, and innovations that could also find a place in Warzone since the release.
So far, however, only information about upcoming maps in multiplayer and innovations in Warzone and Zombies has been released. With our directory, you can jump to the most important points:
The highlight of the new season is the new map “Urzikistan” – a new map for Warzone. However, the number of new maps to be released during Season 1 is not very exciting. There will be 3 new maps, and one of them will only be released with the Reloaded update.
CoD MW3 & Warzone: Release & Update
When does Season 1 start? On December 6 at 18:00 German time, it’s happening.
How large is the update? The announcements look extensive; a download of about 10 or 20 GB could be expected.
Is there a preload? That has been very irregular in recent seasons. Currently, do not expect a preload.
CoD MW3 & Warzone: Season 1 – Warzone
What kind of map is this? Warzone gets a new map with Season 1. However, it is not really a new map, as everyone who has played the zombie mode in MW3 knows. Urzikistan is said to be a large map with 11 major POIs where you can unleash yourself and seek out and eliminate enemies.
However, the map is not supposed to be accessible only on foot. Vehicles, ziplines, and even a train will assist you in navigating the map – without zombies, of course.
What changes can be expected? Warzone still has the outdated mechanics from MW2 in terms of movement. This is supposed to change with Season 1, as the developers are working to add implemented slide-cancelling, tac-stances, and more from MW3 to Warzone.
Additionally, the CoD HQ is supposed to be better structured so that you can jump between the various modes more easily.
