In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 there is a prestige system that players can use to adorn their accounts. We show you how to activate it, what rewards you get, and what emblems are available.
How do I activate prestige? Prestige is unlocked in MW3 just like in MW2. You have an account level, and prestige is activated once you surpass level 55. After you reach prestige 1, further prestige levels follow depending on the milestone level you have reached.
Your prestige remains the same across upcoming seasons and can be earned at your own pace. You won’t miss anything with the new system, so there is no time pressure. Now let’s talk about the emblems.
What emblems and prestige are there? The developers provide you with a total of five prestige levels in Season 1. You unlock these by playing and leveling up your rank. You need the following levels for the respective prestige:
- Prestige 1 – Level 56
- Prestige 2 – Level 100
- Prestige 3 – Level 150
- Prestige 4 – Level 200
- Prestige 5 – Level 250 (Last prestige for Season 1 and also the level cap)
What rewards await for each prestige? When you achieve a prestige rank, you automatically unlock the associated emblem. Additionally, you receive further challenges and rewards such as calling cards and a blueprint for the MTZ-556.
Will more prestige ranks follow? Activision provided additional prestige in MW2 that were implemented only in new seasons. So it is quite possible that more levels will follow in Seasons 2 and 3 of MW3, which you can then unlock while grinding.
