In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the question often arises about the best builds. A player presented an unusual sniper build on Reddit, and the community reacted impressed – but also said that this shouldn’t actually be so effective.

On Reddit, the user “Nest0r562” showcased a video with sniper gameplay in CoD: MW3 on December 11. However, a rather unusual playstyle stands out here, as he plays the sniper rifle at a relatively short distance.

With the sniper and red dot sight on Meat
What does the player show in the video? In the post by “Nest0r562”, you can see him running around in the multiplayer of CoD: MW3 with the “Longbow” on the map “Meat”. This is a small map, which came into play with Season 1.
The “Longbow” is a sniper rifle. However, he plays it with a sight for shorter distances without magnification. He writes in the post on Reddit: “I feel dirty when using a red dot sight on a sniper.”

“It just defeats the purpose of a sniper rifle”
How does the community react? The comment with the most upvotes comes from “Hunger_Of_The_Pine_”. He writes that he experienced this yesterday in a match and was angry. Still, he congratulates the post creator and ends with: “Good game, man.”
The user “CherryMyFeathers” comments: “Sniper rifles should not have red dot sights.” And “nickbarbanera1” writes: “This should not exist… a one-shot, no matter from where? Crazy.” The user “VeeDub823” says: “I hate that you can do that. It just defeats the purpose of a sniper rifle.”
Another user comments that sniper rifles need a nerf on their speed. The speed at which you can aim should be increased. “They should not be effective in every situation. Why should anyone play something else if a sniper is good in every single situation?”

How did he build the rifle? In the comments, “Nest0r562” (via Reddit) writes that he uses the following attachments for the Longbow:
