- Maps in Season 5
With the start of the season, 4 new maps go live – two 6vs6 maps and two for the gunfight mode:
- 6vs6
- Punta Mar – smaller map in Las Almas
- Strike – remaster of CoD MW 2007
- Gunfight
- Lounge – visit to a club
- Canal – greetings from the Netherlands
- Mid-season
- DRC – part of Building 21 (DMZ)
- New features and modes
In Season 5, a mode called “Havoc” is coming at launch, which is supposed to remind players of arena shooters from the past. You collect power-ups that reload your ammunition, reduce gravity, or hit like a grenade when you jump from somewhere.
For the large ground wars, a “Capture the Flag” mode for 2 teams with 20 players will be introduced. Additionally, three different variants for the gunfight mode will come throughout the season:
- Gunfight Custom – with loadouts
- Gunfight Snipers – with snipers
- Armored Gunfight – with armor
The whole thing is rounded off with the “Faceoff” mode. Here, two teams of 4 compete on the small gunfight maps in the 6vs6 modes – either team deathmatch or confirmed kills. Killstreaks are disabled.
CoD Warzone: Season 5 – Content
What’s coming for Warzone? On the map Vondel, the champions’ quests will be introduced at launch. This is a nuke that ends the game and immediately decides the winner of the match. At the same time, three new elements for champions’ quests will be introduced:
- Gallium: When you carry the element, you become revealed like with a snapshot grenade
- Deuterium: Coughing while sprinting
- Neptunium: Has periodic effects like the shock stick on the environment
Two new vehicles will also be introduced: The MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) is said to appear rarely, withstand a lot, but be slow. The dirt bike brings more action. However, the vehicles will only come in-season.
For the DMZ, around the release, four new items will come into the game:
- Disguise Field Upgrade
- Certain AI factions will not attack you
- Battle Revive
- Self-revive and battle rage in one
- Self-Revive Box
- Similar to armor box but with self-revive for all
- Scuba Gas Mask
- Mask against gas, radioactive winds, allows you to breathe underwater
As new modes, Armored Royale will come together with the new truck MRAP and “Fort Resurgence” throughout the season. In the fort mode, small parts of Al-Mazrah will be played in the revival mode.
Additionally, in Warzone we will witness the reveal of the new Modern Warfare 3 through an event. More information will come later. Here is the first official image from the event:
