Call of Duty Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 have started their first Mid-Season. For this reason, those of you who love shooting can unlock a new assault rifle: the Chimera. How to get it and what an optimal setup looks like, you can find out here.
Unlock Chimera – Here’s how: To unlock the Chimera in MW2 and Warzone 2, you have two options:
- You get 2 operator kills in 15 different matches with an assault rifle
- You get the Chimera from Building 21 in the DMZ mode and successfully exit the area with it
You do not have to complete both options to unlock the weapon. It is sufficient if you achieve the kill variant in MW2. You just need to eliminate two players and can immediately leave the round and start a new one – that counts for the challenge. The kill variant also counts in Warzone 2.
However, so that you can also get started with a strong setup, we have selected two for you.
Best setup for the Chimera at the start of the Mid-Season
So that you not only have unlocked the weapon, we will show you two strong setups for MW2 and Warzone 2. These differ as the requirements of the weapon vary depending on the area of use.

What can the Chimera do? The Chimera is more in line with the Kastov-74u. It is stable, can also score well at long distances, but in Warzone 2 it is more suitable as sniper support for medium to short ranges. In the MW2 multiplayer, it can usually convince everywhere, but it unfortunately stands no chance against an M4 or a TAQ-56.
Basically, this is a solid assault rifle that transitions into an SMG hybrid. If you can put together the right setup, you will definitely have a lot of fun with the weapon.
