The first shared season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 goes online on December 14 at 7 PM. What is known about it can be found on MeinMMO.

Update, December 14: The Mid-Season 1 went online an hour ahead of schedule. Here you can find the highlights of the patch notes.

The announced combat statistics for Warzone 2 have been postponed indefinitely (via twitter.com).

Call of Duty operates a live service for its current shooters and regularly brings new, free content and some fresh wind.

The next stage of the content cycle is the Mid-Season update of the current Season 1. The update arrives on December 14 and you can expect the following innovations for CoD MW2 and Warzone 2:

When does the update come? The Mid-Season and update 1.12 are already online.

How large is the update? It depends on your platform, the sizes vary a bit. On the PlayStation, the update is just under 11 GB.

What does the Mid-Season 1 offer? Next, we will list the changes and innovations and provide you with details on the points below:

  • New weapon: Chimera
  • PvE content: The first CoD raid
  • New map for MW2: Shipment
  • Warzone Cup & Mini-Royale
  • New area for DMZ – Building 21

The new weapon can either be purchased or unlocked. It is not yet certain, but hints suggest that you have to unlocked the weapon again in the DMZ mode – just like the M13B.

The CoD blog provides the following description: ‘With the integrated suppressor and the slow, high-energy .300-BLK subsonic rounds, the Chimera is perfectly suited for close combat. The subsonic rounds conceal the kill symbols from the enemy team.’

The Chimera is part of the ‘Bruen Ops’ platform and resembles the weapon ‘Honey Badger’.

  • PvE content: The first CoD raid (MW2)

CoD is continuing to expand its portfolio of PvE content and is trying its hand at a raid for the first time. These are challenging 3-player activities with tough enemies and puzzles that are supposed to last several hours.
