Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is finally out and as in previous years, PlayStation players get advantages once again. Some of these are quite worthwhile, but Xbox and PC players can breathe a sigh of relief as there is no exclusive mode this time.
What are the advantages this year? CoD MW2 celebrates its release and PlayStation players can enjoy a few advantages again. MeinMMO will show you what they are:

Additional Loadouts and Boost for Weapon XP
What does the PlayStation Party Bonus bring? Among the advantages, one exclusive addition stands out: the PlayStation Party Bonus.
With the PlayStation Party Bonus, PlayStation players receive an additional 25% weapon XP when playing in a party with other players. This bonus is active even when your team members are playing with you from another platform via cross-play.
What are the free Combat Packs? PlayStation players receive free Combat Packs every season from CoD MW2, which can contain items like operator skins, weapon blueprints, and emblems.

What do the extra loadouts bring? In addition to free Combat Packs, PlayStation players also receive two additional loadout slots where they can save their self-created classes. You unlock these along with the ability to create a class when you reach level 4.
Bonus for the Battle Pass Bundle: PlayStation players who purchase the Battle Pass Bundle receive five additional tier skips, allowing them to skip a total of 25 levels.
Double XP Events: Exclusive events will take place every month, giving PlayStation players double XP. These events will be active for 24 hours and are usually linked with other XP events – on PS, they run a day longer.
CoD MW2 has no exclusive mode
What were the advantages in the past? Although the PlayStation Party Bonus can be a strong advantage, allowing PlayStation players to get to the best weapons faster, the advantages this year are relatively minor.
Looking at Call of Duty: Cold War, we see many advantages that have also returned in MW2. These include additional loadouts and the party bonus, as well as double XP events and advantages for the Battle Pass Bundle. However, what is missing in MW2, and what may please Xbox and PC players, is an exclusive mode.
In CoD: Cold War, PlayStation players had an exclusive mode for 1 year. This was the Zombie mode Onslaught, which was only playable on other platforms 12 months after the release of the shooter.
