The aim assist of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the biggest topics in the community shortly after its release. Now the CoD pro Seth “Scump” Abner has commented on it – he is considered one of the best controller players in the world.
Who is “Scump”? Seth Abner is probably the most prominent CoD pro and one of the few professional Call of Duty players who are known worldwide. In the CoD League, controller has been used for many years.
Throughout his career, he won several CoD world championships, earned a gold medal at the ESPN X Games, and built a successful YouTube channel – all things that any competitive CoD player would like to check off.
Scump recently stated that the season with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be his last professional season.
Whether he plays professionally or not – his opinion carries a lot of weight in parts of the community, and his latest statement on aim assist ends the debate for some about whether the aim assist in CoD MW2 is too strong or not.

What does Scump say about aim assist in CoD MW2? During a scrim (practice match) with other CoD pros, the “veteran” made a strong statement about aim assist:
“Aim assist is … nowadays in Call of Duty, they have taken so much aiming skill out of the game with the dynamic aim assist for controllers. It’s actually like you don’t even have to aim anymore – I don’t want to troll with this. These days shooting is so easy compared to back then.”
The discussions around aim assist in Call of Duty have been going on for years. Especially in the free battle royale Warzone, the topic has come up repeatedly. But it is also a foundation for crossplay gaming that brings PC and console players together.
