In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and also in Warzone a new update has been released. The focus is on bug fixes and adjustments to the new weapon JAK-12. Additionally, there has been another playlist update.
What did the new update bring? The largest section of the new patch notes consists of various bug fixes:
- A bug has been fixed that caused the code in Bunker 3 not to function as intended.
- A bug with the riot shields has been fixed that occurred when a player received the pumpkin head after 3+ kills.
- An exploit in Zombie Royale has been fixed. It is presumably the glitch that made players invisible.
- The gas mask has been temporarily disabled in Warzone.
- The “Snipers Only (TDM)” mode has been removed while a bug is being fixed. The mode will be replaced by “Gunfight – Snipers Only (3v3)”.
What changes are there to the balance? Aside from the bug fixes, there were also balance adjustments to the new weapon JAK-12, which was introduced on October 15:
- The movement speed and ADS speed with drum magazines has been reduced.
- The fire rate with FRAG-12 ammunition has been reduced.
- The description of the FRAG-12 ammunition has been adjusted.
These adjustments have even led to 2 of the 3 strongest setups for the new shotgun being nerfed. Even before, the JAK-12 was not the strongest shotgun in Modern Warfare.
What changed in the playlist? With the latest update, the playlists have been adjusted again:
- In Warzone, the playlist “Monster Quads” is running.
- In Multiplayer, the announced “Gunfight: Snipers Only” is running.
Additionally, the operator Ghost received the new “Grim Reaper” skin.
Currently, the Halloween event is still running in both games. There you can get new cosmetics, a new game mode, jump scares, and many more special features. The event runs until November 3. There are also new details about the integration of Warzone with Cold War.
The way Halloween is currently running is unique for the “Call of Duty” series. It also convinces MeinMMO author and CoD fan Maik Schneider, despite some flaws:
