This week’s playlist update for Call of Duty is here. Tune in to find out what is changing this time for Modern Warfare and Battle Royale Warzone.
What’s happening in CoD? The new installment of the first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is already ready to sprint and is waiting for the signal to go – Black Ops Cold War is set to release on November 13. However, CoD MW also stays on track and maintains the pace at least until the season transition in 2 months, continually introducing new modes each week to its playlist.
This week, fans of the highly anticipated zombie mode of Cold War will get a little treat: “Ground War Reinfected” will rotate into the playlist and send desperate hordes of infected players after you, who want nothing more than to win the match and maybe nibble a little on your organs in the process. Additionally, Shiptember continues, and in a “Face Off Moshpit”, you’ll fight on the small skirmish maps in normal MP mode.
A fresh mode is coming to Warzone by the weekend: Buy-Back Quads. These modes used to be called “Stimulus”, and for the first time, this format is coming as a mode for 4-player teams into the list.

CoD Playlist Update on 15.09.
When does the update start? You cannot say for sure. Based on experience, it will most likely come tonight (September 15) at the earliest around 7 PM. If it is not online by 9:30 PM at the latest, it may be postponed to tomorrow morning (September 16) at 8 AM. However, it usually comes out on Tuesday evening.
What do the new MW modes bring? In “Ground War Reinfected”, you usually start as a normal warrior, just trying to survive and return to your family back home. But some enemies have a contagious disease that makes them run at you with knives in hand, aiming to infect you as well. A good preview of the upcoming zombie mode in Cold War – hold out until time runs out or grab as many victims as you can nibble on.
Shiptember introduces itself: “Hello, it’s me, your favorite mode for an entire month!” For several weeks, the popular playlist “Shoot or Ship, either way” has been available to you, and that will stay for a while. In this mode, you’ll only play the maps “Shoot House” and “Shipment” in various modes.
As another mode for Modern Warfare, you’ll get served the “Face Off Moshpit”. Here you play the small skirmish maps with changing action modes like “Pumped Up” or “Delivered”. Get ready for exciting close combat and sharpen your skills in combat with powerful close-range weapons like the R9-0 with Dragon’s Breath.
What does the new Warzone mode bring? Either on Thursday or Friday (September 17 or 18), the “Buy Back Quads” will start and bring the Stimulus rules for 4-player squads for the first time. Here, the usual Gulag mechanics are removed, and fallen team members come back directly into the fight if they have at least $4,000 in their account. This makes the re-entry much more predictable, allowing you to take more risks or gather enough cash to secure respawns until the endgame.

What happened this week with Call of Duty? More and more information is coming about the transition from the current CoD and Warzone to Black Ops Cold War. After the reveal of the multiplayer mode with tons of information, it is becoming clear that Warzone and Cold War share quite a bit of content and perhaps even a new Warzone map will launch with the “Cold War” release.
However, Modern Warfare does not give up until the last minute, and is likely to have a Season 6 before CoD 2020 takes over the reins. It remains exciting for fans of the “Call of Duty” series since, despite the upcoming title, the current CoDs are still in top shape.
