In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the BR spin-off Warzone, a playlist update is coming. This week, a few unusual modes will be introduced into the game, and a fan favorite is returning – Shoot House 24/7.
What’s happening this week in CoD? The two major first-person shooters, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone, aim to provide their players with some variety every week and release a playlist update almost weekly.
And such an unusual playlist as this week is rarely seen. Through the blog post on an Activision website, the developers from Infinity Ward give a preview of the upcoming modes, and particularly in multiplayer, a party week seems to be starting.
Because a wild party mosh pit is coming into play, something that has never been seen before. The list brings back 3 crazy party modes, all featuring unique rules. For those who are not into the crazy stuff, a more traditional fan playlist is coming to the game: a 24/7 list with Shoot House, this time together with the latest map “Cheshire Park” and as an 8vs8 mode.
In Warzone, free-to-play players can once again participate in a team deathmatch battle, with the 50vs50 Rumble returning. In total, 5 new modes are coming to the game to provide variety this week.
Update July 15 – The playlist is online. Here is the current selection of modes this week:
Modern Warfare
- 2vs2 Tournament
- Realism Ground War
- Gunfight Blueprints
- Party Modes
- Shoot House & Cheshire Park-24/7
- TDM and Kill Confirmed Remix
Warzone

- Plunder Trio
The 50vs50 Team Rumble in Warzone will not arrive until the weekend.
Playlist update on July 14 with party modes and Shoot House action
When is the update coming? As usual, the update will likely go live tonight around 7 PM our time. However, it often starts a bit later as well. If it’s still not online by 9 PM, it may not start until Wednesday morning around 8 AM our time.
What can these crazy modes do? To give you an idea of what to expect this week, here’s a brief explanation of the modes for this week:
- Party Moshpit – A mix of “One in the Chamber“, “Gun Game Reloaded” and “All or Nothing” on various maps.
- 2vs2 Tournament – A gunfight elimination tournament in which you compete for rewards. The winners receive a unique blueprint.
- Shoot House & Cheshire Park 24/7 – The two maps in a “round-the-clock” mode with changing modes.
- Warzone Team Rumble – 50vs50 team deathmatch in a confined area of the Warzone map “Verdansk”. Perfect for unlocking weapons.
What happened last week in CoD? Last week, there was reportedly a major ban wave in CoD. There were rumors that this large-scale action mainly targeted “toxic” players who behaved improperly in the game. However, this led to an outcry from the community, and the developers were heavily criticized because many players came forward who were unjustly banned. IW then reversed some bans.
Due to some leaks, we have also gotten the first insights into Season 5. There have been data findings of 2 weapons that will likely launch with the next season, which especially sniper fans will appreciate. Additionally, some changes to the Warzone map might occur as well, generally speaking.
However, the week has been mostly defined by the major search for the Grau successor in Warzone.
The Grau has been slightly nerfed and is still strong but not overwhelmingly so anymore. For many players, this is reason enough to play something else again, and the fact that the already strong FAL has been buffed is convenient for some soldiers.
