In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, Season 4 is live on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However, it brought some issues. Just on Saturday evening, June 13th, a new update was released to resolve three ongoing problems. This is the third patch in just three days.
This is what the new update does: Yesterday evening around 5 PM our time, Infinity Ward announced that a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone is being rolled out.
The patch fixes 2 problems and adjusts the balance of the new controversial events that occur during matches in Call of Duty: Warzone. We will take a look at the patch notes.
Patch Notes from Saturday, June 13th
On the map Scrapyard, which returned with Season 4 to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a glitch occurred that allowed players to spawn outside the map. This glitch has now been fixed. The spawns on Scrapyard should function normally again.
The second bug was about the Season 4 Battle Pass. Some players experienced difficulties when trying to use items they received through the pass. This problem also seems to have been resolved by Infinity Ward.
Additionally, the patch from June 13 changed the frequency at which the new events such as “Jailbreak, Fire Sale, or Supply Choppers” occur in Call of Duty: Warzone. The helicopters, in particular, are controversial.
This is how the patch is received: The reaction on Twitter is quite clear: Many want the “Plunder” mode back, which Infinity Ward removed from the game on Friday evening. They want to communicate this as loudly and clearly as possible to the developers.
These were the 3 patches in 3 days
This was the patch sequence: The timeline for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone is currently quite chaotic. Due to the “Black Lives Matter” movement, the schedule has been shifted:
- On Thursday morning at 8 AM, a huge patch was released that brought Season 4. The thing weighed between 30 and 50 GB. The patch was “actually” one day late
- On Friday evening, the regular playlist update, which removed two modes that players really liked was released
- Now on Saturday evening, the update has arrived, bringing the 3 changes mentioned
The Season 4 in Call of Duty has just begun. There is still a lot planned for the upcoming weeks and months.
What Infinity Ward still has cooking for Season 4 in Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone will be looked at in the detailed article on the roadmap.
