A new patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and CoD Warzone is now live. This patch fixes, among other things, an issue that allowed the FR 5.56 with a certain attachment to instantly kill opponents. There are also other adjustments to the weapons. Read the patch notes here.
This bug is fixed by the patch: Since a recent update, the assault rifle FR 5.56 has had an underbarrel shotgun. It is actually not that strong, at least with most weapons.
However, with the FR 5.56, it led to one-shot kills in Warzone. If you hit someone at close range with the underbarrel shotgun, they were instantly done for. This bug should now be fixed with the patch from August 20.
Other weapon changes in the patch: In addition to the bug fixes, there are some nerfs and buffs for other weapons. Among other things, the Bruen Mk9 is being nerfed again, after the top weapon already received a nerf in the first patch:
- Bruen Mk9 – Reduced damage to the upper torso, increased recoil of the base weapon and particularly of the 60-round magazine
- ISO – The new weapon from Season 5 has a lower movement penalty on the drum magazine and increased movement speed while aiming
- 725 with sawed-off barrel – Reduced aim down sights (ADS) time, movement speed and the distance at which it can kill have also been reduced
Additionally, an exploit at the prison in Warzone and a voice-over for the Alert perk have been removed.
Bug fixes and solutions since Season 5
Since the start of Season 5, Modern Warfare and Warzone have been struggling with some bugs, such as:
- a bug that caused players to spawn directly in the Gulag at the start of a round
- a new bug that costs you money and ammunition
- the “Demon Gun Glitch”
The latter has made the game nearly unplayable by distorting weapon models unnaturally. Players could hardly aim properly or hit players with broken weapons. The “Demon Gun Glitch” has now been fixed, though. Here’s how it looked:
As of August 19, it is also known how Call of Duty will continue. After a long time of guessing, players have finally unlocked the first trailer for the upcoming CoD 2020. It will be a Black Ops titled “Cold War” and will be officially revealed next week.
