In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone a new update has been released today, July 9, 2020, across all platforms. This mainly focuses on the sniper Rytec AMR.
What’s included in the update: After the last update on Tuesday brought new modes to the playlist, today’s patch is limited to various bug fixes. These include:
- Correction for incorrect text appearing with one of the SUV skins
- Fixed an issue where counter-drones could be found in the Warzone
- Fixed a problem where players could not use Field Upgrades in Free for All
- Resolved an issue where players could play AFK while playing Everything or Nothing
Additionally, there are many fixes for the sniper Rytec AMR.
Rytec AMR is being revised
What changes with the Rytec AMR: The new sniper Rytec AMR can be earned since the major weapon update at the end of June. It is not that easy to obtain, but it is exceptionally useful in battle. Maybe even too useful, when looking at the patch notes.
According to developers, the fixes also include a bug causing the Rytec AMR to achieve one-hit kills against enemies with 3 plates in the Warzone using explosive ammunition. The combination, which was previously extremely strong, will likely no longer be as overpowering in Battle Royale.
Alongside the nerf, there are also a few fixes for the sniper. It had been struggling with some issues. For instance, there was no weapon XP when using the Rytec AMR with explosive ammunition. A solution has now been found. Additionally, the Fully-Loaded perk did not work correctly when equipping the weapon with explosive or thermite ammunition.
The sniper rifle has undergone several changes. By the way: If you generally rely on long-range weapons, you might soon receive even more supplies. According to a leak, two more snipers could soon make their way into the game.
