In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone, the first playlist update after Season 4 is coming up. Get an overview of the week in CoD here on MeinMMO.
Almost every week since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, CoD releases an update for its players. With these “playlist updates,” the hardcore shooter aims to keep the game exciting and varied for its players. The same goes for the battle royale Warzone.
When will the update arrive? Experience shows that it cannot be said exactly. The new playlists usually appear on Tuesday at 7 PM our time, but sometimes they come on Wednesday morning around 8 AM.
Update June 16, 9 PM: The new mode is online. Here are the current playlists:

First Playlist Update with Season 4 is likely small
What’s happening this week? In a blog post on an Activision website, the creators of the current CoD revealed what they plan for this week – and it’s not much.
Just last week, the big release of Season 4 came with new weapons, a fresh battle pass, and some changes to Warzone. Now, the developers at Infinity Ward are slowing down the pace a bit and only announced one playlist change for this week: They are bringing the party mode “One in the Chamber” for multiplayer.
However, further changes to the playlists for Modern Warfare & Warzone are possible.
What is this new mode? The mode “One in the Chamber” came with the first part of Black Ops to Call of Duty and gives you barely any ammunition to defend yourself. Here are the rules:
- Free-for-All – Everyone for themselves
- All players have 3 lives
- Each soldier starts with one bullet in a random weapon
- If you miss the shot, you have to rely on melee combat
- If you hit an opponent with the bullet, he always goes down
- You get a new bullet for each kill
- With each own death, you get a new bullet
- Whoever stands at the end wins
A hardcore cult mode where every bullet counts. The time-to-kill (TTK) is practically 0 ms.
Your aim and concentration determine victory. Every quick shot can mean the end. Check out the MW expert training beforehand, and you’ll clear the field.
What else happened this week in CoD? With Season 4, the next content cycle started in the current Call of Duty, giving players something new to do. For example, there are now new in-match events in Warzone.
This is expected to continue throughout Season 4. More maps are planned for multiplayer, and the Warzone could soon see 200-player modes, as well as a Juggernaut mode. Here you will find the roadmap with all upcoming contents of the current season.
