A leaker has already found a playable version of a new sniper in CoD Warzone and Modern Warfare in the game files. The Rytec AMR could even become quite powerful.
What’s happening: The Call of Duty leaker BKTOOR has found something interesting in the game files and shared the first gameplay scenes of the upcoming sniper Rytec AMR via Twitter. This will be added during the ongoing Season 4 in Warzone and Modern Warfare.
We could already take a first look at the Rytec AMR in the released roadmap. BKTOOR has now revealed further details with his gameplay.
This is what makes the Rytec AMR so powerful: In appearance, it is similar to the AX-50 and the HDR, and even in gameplay, it currently still carries the name AX-50.
Unlike the AX-50, the Rytec is a semi-automatic sniper rifle. In the video, it has a 5-round magazine and surprisingly low recoil. Fans suspect that this weapon may be related to the Barrett .50cal from older Call of Duty titles.
The fast rate of fire and low recoil could make the Rytec AMR a quick fan favorite in Warzone and Modern Warfare.
Is this final yet? Since the name in the game files is still incorrect, Activision is likely still working on the weapon. In the comments under BKTOOR’s video on Twitter, fans are excited about the Rytec AMR, but they also believe that the recoil is still being adjusted.
When will the Rytec AMR come? There is no official release date yet. However, it is speculated that the Rytec AMR could arrive with the mid-season update, likely in July. It has already been confirmed that some weapons will be adjusted with this update. So probably also the Grau, which according to professionals is way too strong. How the Rytec AMR ultimately comes into the game will be revealed in the coming weeks.
