Season 6 of Call of Duty is approaching, and you might be getting the 13th assault rifle for Modern Warfare & Warzone. A leak shows the first gameplay of the AS VAL – an assault rifle that has never appeared in CoD before but has taken out millions of NPCs in other games.
What kind of weapon is this? The AS VAL could bring a new weapon to Call of Duty with 2 special features:
- Integrated silencer
- High rate of fire at about 900 rounds per minute
The firearm is of Russian/Soviet production and entered the arsenal in the mid to late 80s. It is related and partially identical to the sniper rifle VSS Vintorez and would be available in Call of Duty for the first time.

What does the leak look like? The CoD weapon leaker “BKTOOR” now shows the first gameplay of the weapon:

How, when, and whether the rifle will come to the game is still unknown. With the leak, it is now only certain that the weapon is in the game’s data, but further details would be pure speculation.
What makes the weapon special? The AS VAL will likely come with a built-in silencer and appropriate barrels. This saves you an attachment in Warzone, potentially making it exciting for the battle royale mode.
The Monolithic Suppressor belongs among the best attachments in the game and provides not only sound suppression but also increased range. With an appropriate barrel, there’s still room for an attachment for better aiming, which can be beneficial given the relatively high rate of fire.
How does the weapon look in other games? The English YouTuber “Tigerfield” has uploaded a video showcasing the gun in 10 different games:
The weapon has already been part of Battlefield 3 & 4 and 3 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. This weapon is thus an absolute first-person shooter veteran and has likely taken out millions of NPCs. However, it has never made it to Call of Duty.
Leaks often reveal weapons early – Are guns for Season 6 already certain?
What weapons could come with Season 6? The leaker BKTOOR and other dataminers have dug up many weapon infos from the CoD data, and besides the AS VAL, there are still a few other possible weapons on the list:
- AA-12 Shotgun – Already with pictures and gameplay preview
- SPAS-12 Shotgun – Speculation based on file names
- R700 Remington Sniper – Also with pictures and gameplay
- Intervention Sniper – Only speculations through files
The most likely mix for Season 6 would therefore be:
- AS VAL
- AA-12
- R700
For all 3 weapons, BKTOOR has already extracted gameplay from the data and showed a first look at the guns in videos. However, it remains exciting, as predicting the upcoming season’s weapons has been quite inaccurate.
