It seems that you will soon be able to admire your cool weapon creations and expensive blueprints better in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and CoD Warzone – all in the style of CS: GO.
During Season 4, several innovations have been introduced to CoD: MW and Warzone – for example, the new sniper Rytec AMR, the new spotter scope, the counter-drone as a killstreak item in Battle Royale, or numerous new blueprints that allow you to give your weapons an alternative look.
And now it seems that you will soon be able to admire your weapons in all their glory even better. This will be possible through a new feature that some might know from CS:GO.
What’s the deal with the weapon feature from CS:GO? It’s about inspecting weapons. Not in the menu or in the editor, but in-game. Some shooters have already firmly integrated this feature. One of the most prominent examples is Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
With a push of a button, you can then examine your firearms with all their attachments and cosmetic changes in special, unique animations – a popular feature among many CS:GO players.
This way, the expensive skins and the firearms can be admired in all their glory if desired. Your character will rotate the weapon in such a way that you truly view it like a collector’s item that you just took off the shelf. According to numerous fans, such a feature is a must – especially in games that focus on weapons, like Modern Warfare. It is currently missing, but it seems that this might change in the future.
What exactly does the leak show? Because exactly such inspection animations in the style of CS:GO are now shown in a leak for Modern Warfare that is currently making the rounds on Reddit – much to the delight of some players. Here you can watch a clip about it.
When will this feature come to the game? The animations were apparently just recently introduced into the game and have been discovered in the data. However, there are no indications of when they will become available in the game. Some players speculate about the upcoming Season 5.
What would you think about a “inspect weapon” feature at the push of a button? Something that is long overdue in CoD: MW and Warzone? Or does this feature leave you completely cold?
By the way, in Season 5, there will also be some changes on the Warzone map: CoD Warzone: 3 important map changes that are allegedly coming with Season 5
