For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, there will soon be special Halloween content. Among these are horror characters like Jigsaw as an operator and customized weapon skins.
What’s new in the game? With the Update 1.28 on October 13, several new contents have already been added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, which will become publicly available later.
The website CoD Tracker has found 27 new cosmetic bundles containing new operator and weapon skins – all themed around Halloween. Among these contents are:
- An operator skin with Jigsaw appearance
- An operator skin with Leatherface appearance
- Skins for weapons, vehicles, and other content, also thematically fitting to the films or Halloween in general.
Why is this so interesting? Halloween events like this are rather unusual for Call of Duty. Since a new game is released every year, replacing the predecessor, there have typically been new games in October instead of special events.
However, this has changed with Warzone, as the Battle Royale is also set to evolve with the upcoming CoD Black Ops Cold War.
Operator skins are okay, but the weapons are really cool
What stands out about the bundles? With Leatherface and Jigsaw, two iconic horror characters have been included as skins. While the Jigsaw skin actually looks quite cool, I am personally a bit disappointed with the Leatherface skin.
Although the mask is deliberately made of assembled leather pieces, they appear rather cheap in this specific skin (see title image).
The weapons, on the other hand, especially from the SAW set, look extremely good with the circles and the red and white coloring. Also, the colorful design in the “Mace: Dia de los Muertos” package appeals to me.

When will the skins come to the game? Currently, there is no exact date on when you can purchase the Halloween skins in Modern Warfare and Warzone. They are expected to be released over the coming weeks.
