Now it has happened, a YouTuber has released the first real gameplay video of the Battle Royale “Warzone” from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, even though he might still be under NDA. It seems like almost all leaks are true.
The indications for a timely release of the Battle Royale from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are increasing.
After a brief advertisement for “Warzone” on Twitch was seen on the morning of March 9, a YouTuber has now released a video with gameplay and a lot of info on his channel.
Update: 19:50: Now the official trailer for “Warzone” is online. It starts on March 10.
Update 11:30 – The video has been deleted from the channel of “Chaos”. However, it was saved and re-uploaded:
What is confirmed by the leak? The YouTuber “Chaos” confirms in the 10-minute video many rumors about the Battle Royale:
- Free to Play
- Cross-Platform
- Huge Map
- Plunder Mode (Game mode with respawn)
- Solo, Duo, and Trio Teams
- 150 Player Matches
- Start with a pistol
- Killstreaks are buyable on the map
- 1vs1 Duel in the Gulag to come back into the match
What can be seen in the video? The YouTuber shows some scenes from the new mode and provides information about the structure and gameplay feel.
“Chaos” states that the gameplay feels very fast. Looting goes quickly, the overview is good, and the items can be used swiftly. He also talks about a special mode called “Plunder,” which will be covered in a future video.
The map offers a high degree of individuality. He couldn’t find a building that exists twice. Additionally, he already found some familiar maps that were included on the map, including Terminal and Broadcast.
He was also able to test the Gulag feature. If we go down in Warzone, we apparently get the chance to get back into the fight. For this, a 1vs1 duel on the firefight map “Gulag Showers” must be won. Before that, we can already watch other players who are having this fight. We can even throw stones at the duelists to make their lives harder.
When is Warzone coming out? The release could take place on March 10.
We are likely to get the first official information this evening (March 9). Perhaps we will even learn an imminent release date.
Was he allowed to bring this online? Since there are no official information available yet, it could well be that the YouTuber was still under a confidentiality obligation, meaning an NDA.
Publishers often give YouTubers, streamers, or journalists new content in advance so they can publish timely official information. However, they usually have to sign a contract agreeing not to publish the information before a certain time. It may be that the YouTuber now has to deal with consequences if the video was published prematurely.
What happens next? If we follow the statements of the YouTuber and the usual release schedule for CoD, a video about “Warzone” could go online tonight, March 3, around 7 PM on the official CoD YouTube channel and make the release official.
Maybe we can dive into the new Battle Royale on Tuesday and compete against each other on the huge map with 150 players or even more.
Oh no, the poor guy is probably going to get in a lot of trouble. Are you still excited for Warzone or is the topic done for you?
Update 18:00: The leak has been confirmed. The official trailer for CoD Warzone has just been released. The mode is supposed to start tomorrow, March 10, for everyone.
