Season 6 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone starts in a few days, and now it’s essentially clear which 2 weapons the new Battle Pass will offer. MeinMMO introduces both of them and shows what the R700 & the AS VAL could be capable of.

Which two weapons does Season 6 bring? With the new season, a new Battle Pass starts again for the first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the battle royale Warzone. Through the pass, you can collect 2 weapons, and thanks to some leaks and the new trailer, it’s pretty clear which weapons are coming with Season 6:
However, one of these guns might not appear in the game until later. Whether both will start with the Battle Pass is still unclear. The third candidate is the shotgun AA-12 – there have already been leaks about this too. As it stands, the shotgun will likely be released with the mid-season update in a few weeks, which usually brings another firearm into the CoD arsenal.

Remington 700 and AS VAL come to Call of Duty
What can the R700 do? The bolt-action rifle could belong to the sniper rifle category and would be the 5th weapon of its type in CoD MW & Warzone. This weapon appeared in earlier “Call of Duty” titles, showing up in Modern Warfare 1 and MW2. It was regarded as one of the most powerful firearms.

At first glance, it almost resembles a shotgun, especially the absence of a sight makes it look more like a close-range weapon. The two one-shot competitors AX-50 and HDR both come standardly equipped with a reconnaissance sight.
This is likely where the new weapon will position itself. As an alternative to the powerful sniper rifles. This could make it one of the best weapons in the game – for Warzone and CoD MW. However, it remains to be seen what advantages or disadvantages the device brings compared to its competition. The prospects for a new strong sniper gun are quite good.
What can the AS VAL do? This weapon is likely to be introduced as an assault rifle and comes from Russian/Soviet production. The fast rifle is almost identical to the sniper rifle “VSS Vintorez” and probably features a built-in suppressor in its standard variant. The well-known CoD leaker “TheGamingRevolution” presented the weapon in his English video with gameplay. At 5:00 minutes, you can see the AS VAL in action:
This could bring a really versatile rifle into the CoD arsenal. The base weapon shares about 70% of its components with the VSS Vintorez and it seems likely that a lot could be achieved through the gunsmith.
Since the weapon is likely already equipped with a suppressor in the barrel, the AS VAL could become particularly appealing for Warzone. Most setups here rely on a powerful suppressor and if range and stability are right, the best weapons of Warzone could face new competition.

Release with Season 6 seems certain – but when?
How certain is all this? The arrival of the weapons with Season 6 is quite certain. Both weapons are shown in a PR image on the Activision blog. The AS VAL is even featured in the trailer for the new season.
However, what is not so certain is: Which weapons will come with the start of the season and the new Battle Pass? The shotgun AA-12 could also be a possibility.
What else can we expect with Season 6? New maps, weapons, and a lot of cosmetics. A lot is still unknown about the new content, but based on experiences from previous seasons, we can already roughly say what to expect. Here you’ll find everything we already know about the new Season 6.
