In anticipation of the upcoming Season 4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has released a new trailer. There, fans discovered a hint about the return of one of the most popular maps from Modern Warfare 2.
Which map is it? It is the Scrapyard map for traditional multiplayer. This map originally came from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It is set in a scrapyard and was one of the most beloved maps in this MW installment for many players.
Many players have already wished for this map to return in the current Modern Warfare. Now it looks like this very map will make its debut in CoD: Modern Warfare with Season 4.
Where did players discover Scrapyard? In the recently released first trailer for Season 4, fans found a hidden hint indicating the introduction of the map. At the very end of the video, the title image for the new Season 4 appears, and in the text “Season Four,” the characteristic scrapyard setting of Scrapyard is subtly visible in the background (see title image).
What else supports Scrapyard being in Season 4? Almost every season has hinted at a new map with official images that eventually made it into the game. Many believe that Season 4 will be no different.
Additionally, entries for Scrapyard have been present in the game for quite some time, so it is far from an unfounded speculation. Parts of the map are already in the game – namely as part of the massive Warzone map from the Battle Royale.
Along with the hidden image, there is considerable support for the notion that we will soon be able to enjoy this beloved classic map in Modern Warfare 2019.
What else does the new trailer reveal about Season 4? On one hand, the official start date for Season 4 was revealed there. The new season starts on June 3, which is already next Wednesday. Also, Captain Price is essentially confirmed as the new operator.
Besides the new map, players quickly spotted another new operator as well as the new weapons from Season 4. You can find out more about them here: CoD MW & Warzone: Here are the new weapons and operators from Season 4.
