A new update marks the beginning of Season 2 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. We show you the most important changes.
This is happening in Modern Warfare: Season 2 in Modern Warfare has begun and brings various new content, like maps, weapons, and modes. Coinciding with the start of the season at 7 PM, Infinity Ward also released a new update.
How big is the update? The update is
- 68 GB for PC
- 67 GB for Xbox One
- 51 GB for PS4
This makes the update today significantly larger than the update at the start of Season 1. Back then it was “only” 20 GB.
Why is the update so large: Activision states that the update is large because certain files from CoD MW need to be redownloaded and overwritten to achieve better optimization.
Update 1.14 brings Season 2 – What’s included
Which maps are new: Four new maps await you in Season 2. These include:
- Rust – A remake of an old MW2 map
- Atlas Superstore – A completely new map
- Zhokov Boneyard – A large map for the “Ground War” mode
- New Gunfight maps: Bazaar and more (Rust is featured)
Which modes are new? There are supposed to be 2 new modes. One mode allows you to play with CDL rules. The other introduces new Gunfight tournaments.
These weapons are new: Two new weapons will be waiting for you at the beginning of the season. They are called:
- Grau 5.56
- Striker 45
