In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare a new update has mixed up the playlists. There is also a mode that sets a very nasty trap for you.
What’s new: On March 31, Infinity Ward released a new update intended for the playlists. The “Cyber Attack Pro” mode also came into play. It will probably be the last playlist update before Season 2 ends. Before that, you can still snag double XP.
However, there are also modes that revolve around April 1st. Many players celebrate a mode that is actually a nasty April Fools’ joke.
What’s in the new playlist update
Changes in these modes: All rotating modes have been replaced with new playlists. Here’s an overview:
- The Cyber Attack Pro mode is playable for the first time and is supposed to provide plenty of action.
- The playlist “Just No Frustration” presents a nasty trap and lures you to Piccadilly 24/7.
- The playlist “CoD players only want one thing…” brings Shipment 24/7 with various game modes.
- The “Gunfight 3v3 – Only Snipers” mode lets you engage in a 3vs3 shootout with only sniper weapons.
Here is the April Fools’ joke: Infinity Ward tempts with a playlist featuring Shipment 24/7, which includes one of the most popular modes in the game. It states, “Shipment total. Come on in. But just so you know: there are penalties for quitting.”
When you select the playlist, you end up on the Piccadilly map. This map is incredibly unpopular and even developers leave the lobby when this map comes up.
The correct playlist surrounding Shipment can be found in “CoD players only want one thing…”. There you will play several modes, all of which take place on the Shipment map.
What can the Cyber Attack Pro mode do? This mode promises a lot of action. Here, you cannot revive your teammates, as they automatically spawn back into the game. In their blog, the developers describe the gameplay as “frantic and fast-paced.”
