In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it remains unclear whether a Battle Royale is coming or not. If it does, it looks like it will be filled with well-known and popular maps from the MW series. Here are 5 that have already been found on the alleged BR map.
What is going on? In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a lot revolves around the fictional city “Verdansk”. This is where the campaign starts, there are multiplayer maps, many SpecOps missions, and the potentially leaked Battle Royale mode is also said to take place here.
Since there are opportunities to take a closer look at the city and its surroundings, players have used this to get an overview of the alleged Battle Royale environment, discovering several corners that strongly resemble beloved maps from the past. Check out what has already been found.

Which maps have been found? A total of 5 maps have already been found, or rather quite specific hints or notable buildings that are part of these maps.

Vacant as part of a “Ground War” map
The map Vacant is the only one from this list that has already been released and used as part of a Ground War map. If you load this map as a CoD caster during a private match, you can even take a little flight over the possible BR map.
Where can I find the map? Vacant is located in the southern part of the map near the sea. As part of the harbor or the map “Port of Verdansk”, it houses flag C.
Overgrown section in SpecOps mission
Overgrown was a large map in CoD 4 and MW2 set on a farm. You will find many houses here, but also open areas with fields, barns, and plenty of cover options.
Where can I find the map? In the SpecOps mission “Operation Bote”, you can find a house designed exactly like one of the houses from that map just before the end.
Killhouse – New mini-map in the making?
If Killhouse is coming to Modern Warfare, you will have another small size map alongside Shothouse and Shipment. The map replicates the training area of the first campaign mission of CoD 4.
Where can I find this map? This map was found in the mission “Operation Kuvalda”, which takes place in the north of Verdansk.
Scrapyard fully in the game
This scrapyard map also has a smaller size and should still be well remembered by players of Modern Warfare 2. The map has a clear structure and takes place on an airplane graveyard.
Where can I find this map? After surviving the airport in the SpecOps mission “Operation Seitenwind”, a plane takes you to a different area. Right here you will find the known layout of the map.
Broadcast – Station discovered
The broadcast station was part of the second mission of CoD 4. A map with close-quarter combat for action in tight spaces.
Where can I find this map? A part of this map was found in the mission “Operation Bote”, but you have to be quite far away from the actual mission area and therefore the textures look a bit muddy.
Terminal perhaps just wishful thinking?
Terminal is considered one of the most famous and beloved maps of Modern Warfare 2. One of the most controversial missions in the entire franchise took place here – “No Russian”. Here, you play a terrorist attack on a busy airport.
Where can I find this map? The best chances for this are offered by the mission “Operation Seitenwind”, but no concrete elements have been found yet. Terminal may remain nothing more than a wish of the community for Modern Warfare 2019.
Rumors about Battle Royale do not die down
How likely is a Battle Royale? In the months since the release of Modern Warfare, new info about a possible BR mode has repeatedly surfaced. The latest map findings strengthen these rumors in the eyes of many fans, as many consider the entire shown map to be the Battle Royale map.
With the Update 1.13, which was unusually large, further data hinting at the mega mode also came into play. However, there is still no official statement on this. The leaker “TheGamingRevolution” even speculates about a release with Season 2, which has also not been announced yet. Only the character Ghost is confirmed.
The situation with the Battle Royale in MW remains exciting. Will there be more or are the developers saving the mega mode for perhaps up to 200 players?
