In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare there is a new skin causing a lot of discussions. It resembles a well-known character from the Netflix series Tiger King.
This is the skin in question: The operator Yegor has received a new skin with the Battle Pass of Season 3, where he is seen for the first time without a shirt and various tattoos are discovered. He also wears a gold chain.
The overall appearance strongly resembles John Finlay. He is known from the Netflix series “Tiger King – Murder, Mayhem and Madness”. There, he is the husband of Joe Exotic, from whom most of the series revolves.
Does the new skin come from Tiger King?
The similarities are: Especially the many tattoos on the upper body are similar. But also the gold chain that Finlay and Yegor wear fits together. Then there is also the hairstyle and the beard. At first glance, this skin could actually represent John Finlay.
This is what players say about it: On Twitter, there are dozens of tweets discussing this similarity. One tweet says “I didn’t even know that the creators of Call of Duty are such big Tiger King fans.” or “I’m so glad Call of Duty finally added a Tiger King update to Modern Warfare.”

The documentary series focuses on the life of Joe Exotic, who ran a private zoo with exotic animals and ultimately ended up in prison for killing or mistreating animals. All the footage is real, and the people shown are indeed the ones involved in the entire case.
Is this really a Tiger King skin? Probably, the similarity between John Finlay and the Yegor skin is more coincidental. After all, the operator has been in the game for a long time and was not recently added.
Moreover, Finlay is more of a secondary character in the series, and it would make much more sense to show one of the main characters as a skin if they were actually referencing this series.
Nevertheless, it may well be that Infinity Ward allowed themselves a little joke and slightly adjusted one of the existing skins. Players definitely appreciate it, as many players are trying out the skin right away in the game.
The developers proved they have a sense of humor on April 1st, when they totally pranked players with a new mode.
