Who is it about and what did he do? A streamer from Ontario (Canada) recently became famous on Twitter. The young man under the Twitch alias DeanoBeano has two passions: drumming and playing games. Therefore, he streams his drum solos every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, he streams game sessions, including Fall Guys and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
“But why not do both at once?” DeanoBeano probably thought and recently tried out whether you could play CoD with the drum setup instead of a controller. The right and left drums replaced the joysticks, respectively. Firing is done with a hearty hit on the cymbals.
Drum sniper kill brings Twitter fame
This is what it looks like when playing with the drums: When DeanoBeano plays, it resembles a musical spectacle. He constantly taps his drumsticks on the drums and rushes through the game. Due to the soundscape of the drums, the entire gaming experience has a completely different feeling than is typical for regular streamers.
This clip went viral: The highlight of DeanoBeano’s drumming escapades was a spectacular sniper kill with the AX-50 rifle. Deano was on the oil rig map from Season 5 in the “Hardpoint” mode and had spotted an enemy. Methodically, he tapped on the drum and precisely moved his scope onto the enemy. A hard hit on the cymbals: Badum! The enemy was dead!
The clip was later uploaded to Twitter, where it immediately went viral. As of August 24, 2020, it had already garnered over 1.2 million views. The nonchalance with which DeanoBeano takes out enemies as a sniper with his drum setup greatly impressed the viewers.
