In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, things are getting even tougher. With the introduction of Season 2, there is a new kill animation that couldn’t be more brutal.
What’s new? Anyone who has checked back into Modern Warfare since the start of Season 2 might have already fallen victim to it. If you get caught, your whole head can now actually explode.
It looks quite brutal, but it fits the tone of Modern Warfare. After all, the developers wanted to be brutally realistic.
New animation makes your head fly off

The player was taken out by a killstreak and not by enemy bullets. Research is still ongoing regarding when the animation will be shown exactly.
It can be seen how the soldier’s head is blown off and scattered in pieces on the ground.
How do players react to this? The reactions from players are positive. They appreciate that Infinity Ward is including such details.
However, there are also players who are not really interested in this. They are much more waiting for new news about Battle Royale, which is currently the big topic.
This also brings the patch to Season 2: The huge update that kicked off Season 2 not only brings this new kill animation. There are new maps, weapons, and modes.
Additionally, as mentioned, the Battle Royale mode was teased. The developers have also changed a lot behind the scenes, which is why the patch turned out to be so large.
