In line with Valentine’s Day, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare activated some playlists with fun themes. There really is something for everyone.
How does CoD: MW celebrate Valentine’s Day? Shortly after the start of Season 2 in CoD: MW, love flows into the shooter.
The developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare clearly had fun coming up with names for their Valentine’s Day playlists. You can see some puns and hints in there.
Judging by the titles of the playlists, there’s something for all of you. For the loving couples and also for those who spend Valentine’s Day completely alone at home. But that doesn’t have to mean despair for singles; maybe you’ll find nice players online.
What are these playlists? Almost every playlist has a special name that somehow fits Valentine’s Day. Among the main playlists, you can find:
Ready to mingle: Referring to the saying “Single and ready to mingle”, which means “I am single and ready to meet someone new”. This playlist offers 6v6 MOSH-PIT action on Rust.
Friends with Benefits: The friends with certain benefits come into play in this Ground War. The benefit is that you can respawn on your squad members.
Third Wheel: Similar to the classic “fifth wheel on the wagon”. Here, you play a 3v3 gunfight. The description states that you should bring that one friend into the mode who never makes it into your duo team. Harsh but somehow heartfelt.
But even in Quick Play, there are interesting names for games like:
- “Hot Singles in your area”
- “Wanna cyber?”
- “Punish me”
- “Love Hotel”
- “Singles appreciation day”
- “Virtual rendezvous”
And those who are desperately searching for true love can try “Looking for the one”. But in all love, caution is also advised. A glitch makes enemies look like friends.

What do players say about it? On Reddit, the names are praised to the heavens, “they’re genius” it is said. It is also celebrated that such ambiguous names were used and then the game mode “Infected” simply wasn’t renamed.
An Infinity Ward employee, ashtonisVulcan, writes: “One of our producers, Rick, is a GENIUS when it comes to coming up with such names. He surely had a lot of fun doing it.”
If you don’t want to throw yourself into the love turmoil just yet, you can even snag items while watching CoD streams.
This is also important: Pay attention to the small XP icon next to the name of the playlist. There you will receive double experience points or double weapon experience points. So it’s definitely worth it more.
How long will the playlists last? They will remain active until Monday, February 17, 2020.
