A player achieved a killstreak of 5 consecutive kills in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Nothing special, really – except that he did it with a drum set. Quite embarrassing for those who were caught by it.
Who is the sniper? The Canadian streamer DeanoBeano has recently made a name for himself, as a million players celebrated his sniper kill. There he first showed how he plays Modern Warfare with a drum set as a controller.
Now he’s outdone himself: In a new clip, he eliminated five opponents in succession, who apparently didn’t pay any attention to what was happening around them. He would have even unlocked one of the coveted killstreaks if he hadn’t used the specialist mode. The opponents almost walked into his crosshairs, as DeanoBeano shows in the clip on reddit:
This time there were only “27,400” upvotes, but the video is likely to have been played significantly more often, even if perhaps not a million times.
Kills with the drum set – Embarrassing for opponents
How complicated the kills are: As seen in the clip, controlling with the drum set is not that easy. DeanoBeano has to carefully tap on the drums to move his crosshair. The shots then come by hitting the cymbals.
“At first it wasn’t easy to control, but after playing for a while, I finally got the hang of it,” he explains in a video on YouTube:
While others complain about too strong aim assist, DeanoBeano makes it even harder for himself and still manages to kill opponents.
This kind of embarrassing situation could easily be avoided. On the map Vacant, where the kills took place, his victims could have easily reacted by paying attention to the popular sniper spot or not just running blindly into the hall.
However, they ran to the same position that DeanoBeano had in his sights one after the other and didn’t react to what happened to their predecessors. A little more awareness of the surroundings would have likely prevented the spectacular scene.
For those who find the fiddling with PS4, Xbox One, and PC too much with all the different input devices, they might soon be able to play the popular battle royale on the go, without drums. Activision is planning a mobile version of CoD Warzone.
