The new playlist update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the Battle Royale Warzone is now live. The patch brings four new modes, including a popular classic. There are also details from Infinity Ward about the return of the Blood Money mode for Warzone, a variant of Plunder.
What’s in the update? Tonight, Tuesday, June 16, a playlist update for Season 4 of Modern Warfare was released. The official Twitter account of the developers Infinity Ward revealed which modes are included in the patch:
- Gunfight 3v3 – Snipers Only
- One in the Chamber
- Realism Ground War
- Gunfight Blueprints
The cult mode “One in the Chamber” was announced in advance and is one of the most popular special modes. You have only one bullet in the chamber, which will kill an opponent in any case. With each kill, you get a new bullet. If you miss, you must resort to melee.
Plunder variant returns – Already Thursday
Infinity Ward reveals: In the tweet (via Twitter), it is also stated that the popular Plunder mode will return to Warzone, and that already on Thursday, June 18. However, the regular Plunder is not making a comeback.
Instead, starting Thursday, there will be the Blood Money variant. The difference between the modes is that in Blood Money you are guaranteed to receive money for every kill. In Plunder, opponents drop a portion of their savings.

Why is this important? Blood Money and Plunder have both been removed with the Season 4 update. During the free weekend and double experience points, no one could play these two modes.
Although the head has already explained why Blood Money and Plunder have disappeared, the community has reacted strongly to it. These are popular game variants in which players, especially without the constant stress of survival, can try out new builds and loadouts.
The absence of the two modes was even a big disappointment for two huge Twitch streamers, who overshadowed the launch of Season 4. DrDisrespect and CouRage were less than pleased with the decision but are now more excited about the update on Thursday. How about you, are you waiting for Plunder and Blood Money or do you prefer to play One in the Chamber in multiplayer?
