Cheaters are a big problem in CoD Modern Warfare and Warzone. Developer Infinity Ward now announces a new wave of bans, but many players are not convinced.
What does Infinity Ward say? On Friday, the developer of CoD MW and Warzone, Infinity Ward, issued a statement on Twitter. In it, further waves of bans are announced, aimed at cheaters.
Cheating will not be tolerated. More bans will come. If you have received a ban, it was due to unauthorized manipulation of game data.

In four paragraphs, Infinity Ward explains that cheating is illegal and asks players not to use hacks or other cheating software. This includes, for example:
- Aimbots
- Wallhacks
- Trainers
- Texture Hacks
- and generally any type of third-party software that alters the game in any way
When exactly the wave of bans will occur has not been communicated by Infinity Ward. However, players are warned, so there should not be any more unexpected bans that came without explanation.
“Please stop cheating”
The message from Infinity Ward was received with skepticism by the reddit community and on Twitter.
Users commented that such waves of bans have shown little effect in the past and that cheaters can simply create new accounts, especially in CoD Warzone, which can be downloaded for free.
Some players reacted with direct mockery. Infinity Ward would, with the message, kindly ask the cheaters to stop. The creator of a thread on reddit sarcastically remarked:
Good to know that cheating is not allowed and forbidden by Infinity Ward.

Memes like the Pikachu in the tweet are also present in the responses to the statement. Some users demanded that the developers let their actions speak and want harsher penalties for cheaters, as well as better anti-cheat software.
A hacker even gave Infinity Ward tips on how they could combat cheaters and was celebrated for it on reddit.
