Season 3 is starting soon for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and CoD: Warzone. A recent email from Activision has revealed some fresh details about the new season and poses a riddle for players. What does it mean?
What does the email mean? Just before the start of Season 3, Activision sent out a promotional email about the new season – apparently a bit too early. Because you cannot yet join the fight for Season 3 through the attached link.
However, the email reveals two new details about Season 3 and adds to the excitement just before the start of the new season.
What does the email reveal about Season 3 of CoD Modern Warfare?
The email contains an image with some key points as well as a link supposedly leading to the new season. However, it is not online yet, as Season 3 starts on April 8 – likely around 8:00 AM German time.
These details are new: Even though they are essentially just a few bullet points, the text and image already provide 2 new pieces of information.
It states, among other things, that Season 3 will bring not only Call of Duty: Warzone and the regular multiplayer of Modern Warfare, but also the co-op mode SpecOps. It seems that SpecOps will finally receive new content again. Season 2 did not bring any new SpecOps content.
Furthermore, it is now virtually confirmed that the thought-to-be-dead Alex from the campaign will return as a new operator in Season 3. He is prominently featured in the image along with his name and callsign (Echo 3-1).
What are players currently pondering? What has many players puzzled is the statement “Worlds collide.” There is no further explanation on this matter. What exactly it refers to is currently unclear to anyone.
This could imply, for example, that Modern Warfare 2019 wants to bring back some popular classic maps or specific characters from earlier Modern Warfare installments, thus colliding the worlds of 2019 and earlier. This is one of the reasons why Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered was released without its own multiplayer. But that remains a vague speculation.
What do you think? What does “Worlds collide” mean in Season 3?
