In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, players have found a nasty trick in the game mode “Infected” to rack up many kills. Some are now calling for a quick fix from the developer Infinity Ward.
What happened? In the multiplayer mode “Infected” in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, player CacheB78 used a nasty trick to rack up as many kills as possible at once.
This is Infected: The popular party mode puts you in the role of a survivor or infected. At the start of a match, however, there is only one infected player armed with a knife set loose on the other players.
The survivors have their loadout and can especially dig in well in higher places.
If a survivor dies, they respawn as infected. Over the course of the game, there will be more and more infected players.
Players use nasty trick for kills
As a survivor, it is not uncommon to team up with other players and dig in at a higher location. Staircases, doors, or ladders are guarded, and the infected have a hard time catching the survivors.
Player CacheB78 has now shown in a video on reddit how he achieves a high kill streak as a survivor.
This is the trick: He calls in an airstrike and targets his teammates. Normally, this is not a problem, as friendly fire is not possible.
But CacheB78 jumps off the roof just before impact, respawning as infected, thus becoming part of the enemy team. When the airstrike hits, he racks up 13 simultaneous kills.
Community calls for a solution from Infinity Ward
This is what the community says: CacheB78 is probably not the only player using this sneaky trick. Thus, it is not surprising that the community on reddit demands a quick fix from developer Infinity Ward regarding the issue. They even provide their own suggestions:
- reddit user TotallyNotAFakeAcc12 says: “I can’t wait for Infinity Ward to remove the killstreaks.”
- reddit user mah_nuhts has a suggestion: “The developers need to ensure that when a survivor calls in an airstrike, it remains allied to the survivor rather than switching sides. I see no reason to remove killstreaks.”
Many players initially found the trick creative and funny. However, now that so many players are doing it, it is regarded as shameful to exploit it. The trick is ruining the game mode, and a solution should be implemented quickly.
But not only in Modern Warfare are players frustrated by exploits. There is currently a bug in Warzone, that makes players immortal in the last zone.
