The player participates as an undercover CIA agent and can (in the uncut version) also shoot unarmed and defenseless civilians.
However, it is possible to skip this sequence. Additionally, Activision voluntarily removed this mission from the Russian PC version of the original Modern Warfare 2.

Not the first time: This is not the first time that Sony has refrained from selling “Call of Duty” games with sensitive content in the Russian PS Store.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is now available on PS4. But not in Russia. The remaster of the CoD: MW 2 campaign will not be released for Sony’s console there. The reason could be the controversial mission “No Russian.”
CoD MW 2 Remastered on PS4 is here – but not in Russia: The numerous leaks and rumors have now been confirmed. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, a remaster of the CoD: MW 2 campaign, has been available for purchase worldwide since March 31 – initially only for PS4 in the PlayStation Store.
However, there is an exception: it will not be released for PS4 in Russia. Sony is officially refraining from selling it there. But why? After all, many fans consider the campaign of Modern Warfare 2 to be one of the best in the entire Call of Duty franchise.
This is Sony’s response: Sony itself does not provide a reason. However, in a tweet from Call of Duty Russia, it is stated that CoD: MW 2 Remastered will not be released for PS4 in Russia.
